Driver’s Age

The driver of the car must be at least 23 years old. It is important that he has a valid driving license for at least 4 years.

Price

Price includes: Unlimited kms, pick up/ drop off, additional driver, road assistance and third party insurance.
There is a 5% main tax for all the vehicles, it will be calculated during checkout but its included in the final price. Prices are about to change without warning but it will not affect customers who have an active reservation.

Period

Minimal rental period is 1 day.

Licence

Anyone interested in renting a car in Rhodes should have a valid driving license where it will be valid for at least 12 months. Drivers with licenses that will be in non-Roman alphabet for example Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese etc. should also have an international driving license. Drivers who are from countries which are not part of the international driving license group, should be accompanied by an official translation.

Payment

The payment methods at Speeds rent a car are:

PayPal, debit card, VISA or MasterCard credit card or cash on pick up.

We do not accept Diners Club, American Express.

The card used must be in the name of the main driver of the rental agreement.

Upon receipt of the vehicle, a credit or debit card must be presented in the name of the rental holder in order to provide a guarantee for the fuel tank and, where necessary, for the vehicle discharge amount.

PayPal payments currently have a discount 2% of the total.

Insurance

All our vehicles have third party insurance.

With Speeds Rent a Car, we offer free of Charge included in all car groups and in all rental packages:

Liability Insurance – Third Party Insurance
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Theft Protection Waiver
Fire protection Liability Insurance

However, in our Premium Package you will have the full damage waiver included with NO Deductible!

That means that you’ll have to pay NOTHING if something happens during the time of your car rental.

Vehicle Collection

Before collecting the vehicle, the renter will be given a Rental Agreement which has to check and sign. The Rental Agreement will show all services and insurances provided as well as any extra services/insurances that the renter might request with their relevant charges.

It is very important that the renter checks and reports any means of damages on the vehicle in order to avoid any charges regarding damages caused by a previous renter. The renter has to sign at collection/delivery a condition form for any damages on the vehicle.

Collection / Delivery

Free of charge all the time.

Fuel Policy

You should return the car filled up to the same level of fuel as that of the time of pick up. There are plenty of 24/7 gas stations near our parking space and Airport / Port.

Extra Charges

All rentals charged based on a 24 hour billing period. Only when a rental exceeds a cycle of 24 hours will any additional day(s) charge apply.

Cancellation

Flexible

Cancellations are free and can be made by e-mail or by calling the support Speeds team 12 hours earlier.

PayPal payments can be refunded at any time, but if the cancellation occurs 12 hours and more there would be 3 euro fee.

Ferrying the car

Ferrying the car: Forbidden! The car should stay in Rhodes island.

Car Cleaning

In case the renter returns the vehicle and it’s cabin has stains which require a special cleaning procedure he will have to pay for cleaning service some fee.

Rental Extension

If the renter wants to keep the vehicle longer than the contracted period, he will have to contact us in order to extend his Rental Agreement with a small fee.
If he does not, he will be charged the double price by day and the vehicle has to be refueled at full by the client.

Parking Fines / Traffic Offences

The renter of the vehicle is solely responsible for any traffic offence fines and related administration fees incurred during their rental period.
